About Arindam Biswas
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Ocean Optics, I design, develop, and validate advanced photonics systems for spectroscopic applications. My work spans mixed-signal circuit design for photodetection and data acquisition, as well as close cross-functional collaboration on prototype testing, system integration, and manufacturing readiness.I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in biophotonics from the University of South Florida. My doctoral research focused on novel wearable electronic systems for real-time, deep-tissue hemodynamic monitoring. I am the inventor of three patented technologies that enable low-cost, compact detection architectures for diffuse optics and laser-based systems. My work has been recognized with several honors, including the Cade Innovation Prize, the OSA Technical Group Best Poster Award, and the USF Technical Fellowship.I bring a strong multidisciplinary foundation in optics, electronics, embedded systems, signal processing, and robotics. I have hands-on expertise with industry-standard design, simulation, and analysis tools, including LightTools, Zemax, LabVIEW, embedded C/C++, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Python, Altium, Eagle, PSpice, and LTSpice. I am motivated to leverage this technical breadth to develop impactful technologies that solve real-world problems and advance human health and well-being.
