I serve as a co-chair of the AIUM Liver Fat Quantification (LFQ) task force. Dr. DavidFetzer from UTSW is another co-chair of this group. The AIUM LFQ task forceincludes faculty physicians, faculty researchers, FDA regulators, and industryrepresentatives. Our goals include-Identifying the practice and technology needs in liver fat (steatosis) quantification-Ensuring uniform reference standards, applicable validation, and smooth clinicaltranslation, regardless of the technique being explored.As a co-chair of this group, my tasks are-Facilitating the LFQ task force activities by actively taking a role or maintaining thecollaboration between the members-Communicating with the AIUM leadership and other AIUM committees ororganization bodies to initiate and facilitate LFQ projects and address the logisticalor financial needs of these projects;I am absolutely honored to take a leadership position in this 70-year-old, expertorganization.

ABOUT ARINC OZTURK
I am a Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital faculty with experience in; 1) Ultrasound imaging- noninvasive biomarkers and tissue quantification methods 2) Clinical trial design- Including regulations, clinical needs, recruitment, protocol design and implementation, performing QA 3) Medical device and AI regulations in ultrasound, both EU and the USA regulations 4) Medical device design and AI algorithm development in ultrasound imaging. I serve on the Mass General Brigham Institutional Review Board (IRB) and review hundreds of study proposals and evaluate them in terms of ethics and compliance. I hold editorial responsibilities in several journals, and I also serve as a reviewer. I also serve in several national and international committees on ultrasound tissue characterization, AI, and safety.
