About Arielle Tannenbaum

I\'m a strategic, adaptable, and collaborative program leader in the climate space. In my work, I build engaging programs, manage complex projects, and facilitate collaborative partnerships. I’m drawn to projects that empower more people to take action against climate change, build sustainable communities, create equitable access to nature, regenerate land, foster healthy food systems, and embrace systems of circularity. My career has spanned sectors (climate communications, climate tech, food systems, health, education), environmental focuses (extreme weather attribution, plastic reduction & circularity, food growing), and types of organizations (tech startups, nonprofits, grassroots organizations). The consistent thread through all of my work is building meaningful relationships to spark action. Some of the things I’ve done:• Orchestrated a multi-million dollar grant-funded project and partnership between four independent organizations• Designed and built a climate tech program to kickstart entrepreneurs ideating and building climate solutions (resulting in 150 participants and over 30 prototypes developed over 8 weeks)• Launched a community-powered circular jar exchange to reduce the dependence on single-use plastic at 3 cooperative grocery stores• Built a community leadership program and training that developed 35 international leaders• Managed an urban community garden in Philadelphia with 48 plots, 100+ members, and 15+ events each year• Developed trainings and interactive workshopsI\'m always looking to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, so feel free to reach out.(If you do send a LinkedIn connection request, please add a personal note!)

1. Associate Director, Program on Attribution Science

   Climate Central, Inc.

   May 2023 — Present

   Manage a team of climate scientists, meteorologists, data analysts, and expert communicators who work together to identify climate fingerprints in daily weather and extreme events worldwide, and to communicate these connections to catalyze climate action.Manage an international partnership coalition that works to advance attribution science and launches new initiatives aimed at transforming the frequency, timeliness, and effectiveness of science-based climate communications around the world. The partnership coalition includes Climate Central, Yale Program on Climate Change Communications, World Weather Attribution, and Global Strategic Communications Council.
