ABOUT ARIELLE EDWARDS

As the Director of Government Relations at Nevada HAND, the largest nonprofit affordable housing developer in Nevada, I lead the advocacy efforts for the organization and its residents. I collaborate with local, state, and federal policymakers and stakeholders to advance the mission of creating and preserving quality homes and supportive services for low-income families and seniors. With years of experience in government affairs and political campaigning spanning back to 2012, I have developed a strong network of relationships and a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes. I have successfully secured multiple grants, advocated for and secured an increase in historically low Nevada Medicaid rates for Provider Types 57 and 59, and helped increase overall brand awareness for Nevada HAND. I also influenced the passage of several bills that support affordable housing and community development. I am pursuing a Master of Science degree in Government Affairs and Advocacy from Albany Law School, where I am honing my skills in effective legal research, policy analysis, and strategic communication. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of the people and communities we serve, and I am always eager to learn new skills and best practices in the field of advocacy.
