Hello, I am Arielle Appleby, a student at Boston University, majoring in Advertising and minoring in Journalism. Aside from that, I am passionate about horse riding, creative writing, tennis, skiing, photography, hiking, and sustainable shopping. I was born in Australia, and grew up in California, meaning the ocean has a special place in my heart.I am currently interning at ModusBPCM, a design, fashion, travel, and lifestyle PR firm where I am working closely with the design, art, and culture team. I handle guest lists, write pitches, organize press releases, do outreach for potential media outlets, and more. In my work as an advertising student and intern, I hone in on the creative and copywriting sectors of a campaign. In the autumn of 2025, I worked closely with the newspaper the Boston Sun, where I was a beat reporter to cover the creative enclave of SoWa, where I wrote about art fairs, gallery openings, community figures, and legislative news. I work as a manager at the Quiet Botanist, a luxury botanical, skincare, and aromatics shop in upstate New York during my breaks. This job requires proficiency in communication, product knowledge, customer service, and finances.During the summer of 2025, I worked for an event planning agency, the Art of Celebration, where I worked closely with the founder. I also spent my time creating a website and developing social media platforms for a real estate agency, specifically for the Sugar Hill Estate.I have worked as a store manager in both a luxury antique store and a luxury retail and coffee shop in Hudson, New York. These jobs were my introduction to working in sales, allowing me to become proficient in communicating with customers while marketing products and building connections, as well as running the store single-handedly. From 20••••21, I worked for the Stanford University Equestrian Team and an A-rated California Equestrian Team as a working student from 2016 to 2023, which taught me organizational and time-management skills through school.
