Another challenging role being a Fibre Specialist working closely with both the Fibre Architect and Customer Fibre Design roles. Working on both customer solution designs and fibre infrastructure projects. My role includes creating plans, designs, and maintains Vector Fibre’s assets. Influence network development strategy, establish, maintain, and disseminate Fibre Infrastructure standards and deployment methodologies that meet or exceed industry regulations, standards, and best practice. Developing layer 1 complex customer solution designs and work closely with sales and product teams in relation to proposed products and sales opportunities as well as directing field resources to repair network damage and establish field-craft fibre delivery quality standards.Working with the Fibre Architect to design the inside and outside fibre plant and develop network growth strategies to meet the future needs of Vector Fibre and our customers. Work with our Operations Engineers to assist with network fault restoration and project support on our fibre network. Assist in the establishment of contingency plans to ensure business continuityInterface with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement new network solutions to meet our customer and business needs.Keep up to date with industry trends and advise on emerging trends that may provide market opportunities.
