About Ariel Azoff

I work at the intersection of media, storytelling, and destination marketing. In the past, I led social impact partnerships at Upworthy and Medium, and my career has spanned media startups, tourism, social enterprise, garment industry reform, international development, and politics. In 2017, I joined Atlas Obscura to head up the company\'s tourism industry partnerships, bringing my professional media experience and personal passion for travel and sustainability to the role. I now lead the company\'s destination marketing business, which means I have the absolute privilege of working with passionate tourism professionals to craft stories about the people and places that make their destinations unique. An assimilated Brooklynite, I\'m also a certified NYC Sightseeing Guide and in my spare time I design and leads women\'s history tours of the city. Currently on offer: late 19th century Brooklyn heights and East Village in the 1910s.
