I’m responsible for pitching lead worthy stories each day for the 10 and 11 pm broadcasts. Once my story is assigned I either setup interviews or me and my photographer work to find a place to find interviews that are relevant to the story. I also work with my photographer to figure out what video we need. I write two pkgs on the same story, each one having a different angle. I work with my executive producer to figure out how the content will look, whether it’s a demonstrative live shot to toss to the pkg or if the story can be a pkg with an interesting standup. I also tease my story on social media each night.
