Co-founded and co-led the AI Standards Lab - a 501(c)(3) doing EU AI Safety and Risk Management Standards. Over the past 2.5 years, we were able to positively influence the EU AI Act implementation, and the EU GPAI Codes of Practice.Currently at Pivotal Research, training the next generation of AI Safety researchers. B.A.Sc. Mechatronics Engineering, Org. Leadership and Philosophy Minor. In my work as an engineer, I designed the end-effector and surgical tools in a semi-autonomous Ophthalmic Surgery Robotics startup.On my free time, I design and build mountain bikes, and occasionally also work as a Freelance Mechatronics Engineer in the Ophthalmic robotics field.
