ABOUT ARIEL BRUNO

I’m a Chemistry and Chemical Engineer with a solid experience in Plastics, Chemical and Petrochemical industries, business and manufacturing. I consider myself a knowledgeable person that understand how the business work, qualified to evaluate the impact of strength and weakness on business performances, as well as capable to define and implement wining strategies and tactics to achieve and maintain the leadership. Have been recognized a skilled person to reach challenging targets by influencing peers and leading multicultural teams, with the capability to own decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment, in unpredictable environments where the entire picture is not available neither constant. I have 20 years of experience in chemicals manufacturing, working in different countries and several positions; Production Engineer, Shift Leader, Quality Assurance Engineer, Process Engineer, Technology Manager and Plant Manager. I worked with all the technologies in use by LyondellBasell to produce polypropylene, LIPP, Spheripol, Spherizone and Catalloy. My multi-year business experience was acquired, initially, as product manager for mechanical machinery (extruder), then, in the LyondellBasell Technology Business, following the commissioning and start-up of petrochemical plants (Polypropylene and Polyethylene) and consolidated when moved to the LyondellBasell European Central Offices, in Rotterdam, to manage the PP assets in the south of Europe In the period Nov 2008 till Jan 2012, I was part of a company JV with a Saudi partner, to build, startup and manage a PDH and a Polypropylene plants and to define and implement the processes and procedures to efficiently operate the asset. My natural optimism, attention to details, proven dedication and the focus to strive for excellence in execution and performance, along with my analytical and communication talents, provide a significant contribution to reach challenging targets.
