About Ariel Barnea
I am currently a full-time Software Engineer at McMaster-Carr with a background in Astrophysics (B.S.) and Computer Science (M.S.) from the University of Chicago. I am concurrently pursuing my MBA part-time at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Chicago Business Fellow.Previously, I worked at Parallel Works and Argonne National Lab, developing HPC workflows, ML pipelines, and computational cosmology research tools for the Cosmological Physics and Advanced Computing Group. I\'m curious, passionate, and dedicated - I love learning new things and tackling new challenges that come my way.Beyond engineering, I have extensive leadership experience as the Secretary-General of MUNUC 36 and Chief Financial Officer of MUNUC 35, where I managed large-scale local and international conferences for 5,500+ high school students. I also have a strong passion for mentorship and education, having served as a Teaching Assistant for astrophysics, physics, and computer science courses, as well as other roles at the University of Chicago.
