About Arie Zakaryan
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with clinical specialization in Pediatric Psychology and Pain Management. I received my doctoral degree from Loyola University Chicago, completed my internship at Rush University Medical Center, and completed my fellowship at Children\'s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). I am also fluent in Spanish and Armenian. I joined Phoenix Children\'s Hospital in 2017, where I am one of the pediatric pain psychologists and have begun as Site Director for the Comfort Ability Program. I assist with the Division of Psychology training as Program Director for the Postdoctoral Residency/Fellowship.Beyond Phoenix Children\'s, I am the Treasurer for the Arizona Psychological Association (AzPA). I have become more and more energized about advocacy and bringing an increasingly intersectional and equity-based lens to all aspects of my life and career, whether patients, training, AzPA, or daily interactions. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, hiking, dancing, and running (at least during the nice Phoenix winters)!
