About Aric Bonner
Growing up, I’ve always been taught that hard work gets you somewhere in life. That doesn’t mean that money is the end all/be all, but that if you want to get something done you need to put the effort in. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize the importance of all the things my parents did for me. I am the person I am today, mostly because of what my parents gave me: my values, my interests, my work ethic and my ability to be a strong individual in this world.In 2014 I was in my senior year in college and I ended up getting an opportunity to work as an intern for KB home. It was an amazing career kick off for me, and over the years I have had multiple positions in both Forward Planning and Land Development. I have been lucky enough to have some wonderful mentors at KB, offering invaluable support and guidance. I have gained a holistic view of our organization’s work and I strive to learn something new every day.With 3 years in Forward Planning and another 8+ in Land Development, I have gained extensive knowledge at KB- Experience with management of construction schedules and monthly budget reviews. Ultimately making land schedules and budgets work to fit our corporate goal. Managing and balancing budgets spanning over 25 active projects and over $190M- Providing strategic direction and leadership to my team of junior associates and field superintendents while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture- An in depth understanding of all dry utilities (NVE, SWG, COX & LUMEN) from project start to finish. Working with each agency on designs, contracts and installation for all KB projects- Extensive knowledge with coordinating bond release, associated punch-list walks, and final acceptance by all governing agencies- Managing the implementation and compliance of all Air Quality Regulations/permits as well as NDEP Construction SWPP permits.Outside of my career, I strongly believe health, happiness, family and friends matter the most in life. I strive to keep a healthy work-life balance. Every new day is a blessing!
