ABOUT ARIANWEN EVANS

My passion is to make the arts more accessible to the wider public. I have worked with a variety of demographics in educational spaces and I am pursuing a career in museum curation. While reading English and History, my love of Romantic and 17th century literature has been nurtured. I have experience in aiding people from GCSE to final year Warwick students in accessing the arts. I have displayed the ability to engage in the manual work which is an aspect of setting up event spaces and gallery exhibits by volunteering at the art gallery of Hamilton in setting up for a private event to celebrate Afro-Caribbean culture. This resulted in a clean and well ordered space prepared in time for paying visitors to relax and enjoy the event. Furthermore, I am interested in creating engaging event spaces in family farm parks such as when I painted, constructed and moved art pieces and large objects to create the Magical Christmas experience at 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park in collaboration with my work colleagues, resulting in my development of teamworking skills in making the Christmas Experience family friendly and well organised. Furthermore, I have honed my skills as a productive and efficient member of a team who is reliable at providing excellent customer service to parents and their children who visited the 4 Kingdoms Adventure Farm Park. While supporting the actors and crew members at the 4 Kingdoms Christmas experience for two consecutive years, I have witnessed the importance of the arts to developing children’s confidence and learning and ensuring the displays were kept clean and up to date. I have implemented this passion to make the arts enjoyable and accessible to young people into providing online and in person English tutoring services to GCSE and A Level students. I increased the confidence and knowledge of my students by providing a safe space for them share and develop ideas they had about the texts, resulting in all them achieving high grades in their final exams. To achieve both my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards, I volunteered as an assistant ballet teacher for the Italia Conti Newbury. Supporting professional dance teachers who worked as Italia Conti, London UK during the week, encouraged me to coordinate lesson plans and provide the students with guidance throughout their ballet examination processes. This meant even when their teacher was unable to attend classes because they were required in London, the students felt confident in their dance ability and all took their ballet exams; achieving high marks.
