Assist attending physicians and resident physicians in laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgeries (e.g hysterectomy, myomectomy, excision of endometriosis, cystectomy, etc) as well as first assist when residents are unavailable- Conduct pre-op evaluations, surgical counseling, and post-op follow ups- Manage perioperative care including: orders, labs, pain control, and discharge planning- Perform in-patient office procedures: Endometrial biopsy, IUD insertion/removal, wound care- Collaborate closely with both MIGS attendings on our team of 3 to insure quality care- Collaborate with surgeons and care teams for optimal surgical outcomes including but not limited to: Reproductive Endocrine & Infertility (REI), Colorectal surgery, Uro-gyncecology, Urology- Manage patients in office with complex gynecologic conditions including: endometriosis, fibroids, primary dysmenorrhea, abnormal uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor myalgia, vulvodynia, vaginal apex pain- Work closely with pelvic floor physical therapists to ensure multimodal pain models are addressed regarding pelvic pain- Conduct peer-to-peer phone calls with insurance companies to advocate for my patients needs with medications that are denied- Document clinical care accurately in EMR per institutional standards - Serve a diverse patient population from across North Carolina and surrounding states
