Not long after completing my Law degree in 2012, I began my first role in legal costs and I’ve worked in the field ever since. What started as part of my graduate role quickly developed into a genuine passion and I’ve built my career around helping clients and firms navigate the complex world of costs.After seven years in the industry, I joined County Cost Consultants, a firm that has been instrumental in my professional growth. Since then, I have expanded both my knowledge and practice, qualifying as a Costs Lawyer, receiving training in CCMCs and becoming a member of the Advocacy Team, where I represent clients at hearings.Within my role, I undertake many aspects of costs work including preparing Costs Schedules, Part 8 Proceedings, Bills of Costs, disbursement disputes, Precedent H Costs Budgets, Precedent Rs and Ts, Points of Dispute and Replies. I also prepare files for Provisional and Detailed Assessment and manage the outcome of hearings.I specialise in drafting Bills of Costs and related documents for claims in clinical negligence, dental, serious road traffic accidents, and other Multi-Track personal injury claims. I thrive on achieving the best results possible for my clients, whether that involves recovering costs at a high level, succeeding in agreeing Budgets, or achieving favourable outcomes at Provisional and Detailed Assessment Hearings.Beyond my day-to-day role, I am an active member of Pro-Manchester and regularly attend professional networking events, which allow me to build connections, share insights and stay engaged with the wider legal and business community.
