About Ariana Almas
My personal mission is to provide communities and organizations with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to unleash their full potential, while simultaneously dismantling the institutional & systemic barriers in their way. This mission is what drew me to the nonprofit workforce development space, where I served in a variety of roles from program management to operations, with the goal of supporting young people of color to attain opportunities in industries and roles not often accessible to them. This mission also drew me to the University of Michigan, where I focused my studies on social change, diversity & inclusion, organizational management, and business. Now, this mission is what drives me to seek out opportunities for societal change in both my 9-5 (as a tech professional) and my 5-9 (as an active & engaged citizen).I hope to combine my passion for social justice, my mind for business, and my flair for outside-the-box thinking in order to best support people and communities across various sectors.
