My name is Ariana Small, and I am a first-year dual Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Bioethics candidate at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and the Laney Graduate School. My academic and professional interests center on addressing health disparities, advancing health equity through the lens of social determinants of health, and improving outcomes in maternal and child health.My long-term goal is to become a physician who not only provides clinical care but also drives systemic change to ensure that all populations—especially those historically underserved—can thrive. I am committed to being both a learner and a mentor, serving as an inspiration to students from underrepresented backgrounds who share the same drive to pursue medicine and make a lasting impact in public health.

   Prepare patients for exams, obtain vital signs, assist physicians during procedures, and accurately document care across pediatric to geriatric populations- Perform diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures, including radiography, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, while maintaining equipment and quality control standards- Manage patient registration, referrals, and follow-up coordination while educating patients and families to support clear and culturally responsive care- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and uphold safety and evidence-based practices to ensure efficient, high-quality clinical operations.
