ABOUT ARGERIE TZOURAS
I’m a service designer passionate about helping cities design better, more human-centered services through strategy, foresight, and systems thinking. I hold a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University, where my work explored how municipalities can use futures thinking to navigate complexity and design more resilient systems. My paper, “Understanding Cities as Systems: Making a Case for Foresight,” examined how cities across Canada approach foresight and systems thinking, uncovering opportunities to embed these tools into strategic planning and service delivery.With over 9 years of experience across the non-profit, development, education, and public sectors, I bring an empathic, multi-sectoral lens to complex challenges. My curiosity, love for learning, and deep engagement with communities—both in Canada and abroad—continue to shape how I approach design: as a collaborative, iterative process grounded in understanding people and the systems they live within.
