ABOUT AREFEEN SALIM

I am a final-year Bachelor of Science Computer Science student at Leeds Trinity University with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Software Development. Over the past three years, I have actively shaped my degree experience through hands-on work, leadership roles and real-world technology projects.I completed a placement as a Website Developer at Cridling Ltd, where I focused on improving site accessibility, UI/UX and performance using Wix. Alongside my academic work, I have participated in multiple hackathons, gaining experience in rapid prototyping, team collaboration and presenting solutions under pressure.Currently, I work as a Student Ambassador and Unibuddy Ambassador, supporting prospective students through peer-to-peer engagement and university outreach. I also serve as a Course Representative, ensuring student feedback informs academic improvements within the Computer Science programme. Previously, I was a PASS Leader, where I facilitated peer-led study sessions to support foundation year and first-year students, further developing my communication and mentoring skills.Through these roles, I have built a strong foundation not only in programming, including Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, HTML and CSS, but also in frameworks and tools such as React, Flask, Firebase, Git, Trello, Wix and Figma. More importantly, I have learned how to adapt, communicate and take initiative in fast-moving environments.I am always open to connecting with others in technology, whether to collaborate, exchange ideas or explore opportunities in software development, artificial intelligence or design.
