ABOUT AREEJ AKHTAR
Driven and dedicated scientist with comprehensive wet lab expertise in the development and characterization of CAR T-cell therapies for B-cell lymphoma and leukemia. Currently in the final year of my PhD, I specialize in designing and optimizing CAR T-cells targeting CD19, CD20, and CD22 antigens. My extensive work includes- Development of innovative CAR constructs specifically tailored for B-cell malignancies- Preclinical assessment and optimization of CAR T-cell efficacy in vitro and in vivo- Expertise in gene editing, viral vector design, and T-cell engineering techniques- Deep knowledge of flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, and molecular biology protocols- Collaborative mindset, contributing to multi-disciplinary research projects aimed at advancing immunotherapy.Passionate about translating cutting-edge research into clinical applications, I aim to continue my career as a scientist in the field of CAR T-cell therapy, striving to bring novel and effective treatments to patients battling haematological malignancies.Connect with me to explore collaborations and share insights in the CAR T-cell therapy landscape!
