ABOUT ARDYEL CHRISTIAN LIM
Hello! My name is Ardyel Lim, and I was born and raised in Metro Manila, Philippines. In the school system there, I learned public speaking, leadership, marketing, and sports (volleyball). In 2015, my family and I immigrated to the United States where I finished high school as the Class Valedictorian in 2019 and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2022.As a first-generation immigrant, I have always been fascinated with people and the different cultures they come from. During my education at UC Berkeley, I was exposed to people from all walks of life and found this was a genuine curiosity for me. Over the years, I have continuously searched for opportunities to grow myself while learning about others. Currently, I am a Senior Advisor with CollegeAdvisor.com helping high school seniors and their families navigate the college application process and higher education. I also work with a finance firm in West Los Angeles helping and educating Americans about their financial situations. These two companies continue to teach me the values of mentorship, financial literacy, and holistic education. Regarding my career goals, I hope to become an education policy consultant, college access mentor for underserved communities (first-generation, non-traditional, immigrant, people of color, etc.), and a financial professional to bridge my skill sets with real-life experiences and with all types of people in the fields of education, finance, and immigration. My constant goal is to help people and lead them to success. During my leisure time, I am a social media enthusiast, volleyball player, and K-Pop music fan. I speak Tagalog and English fluently and am computer literate in Microsoft Office and the Google Platform (Docs, Slide, Sheets). I’m always happy to connect!
