About Ardalan Mosavi
Dr. Mosavi’s technical areas of expertise and interest include diverse range of topics as Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Condition Monitoring; signal processing and pattern recognition, vibration and experimental modal analysis; nonlinear modeling of materials and structures; linear/nolinear FE modeling and FE Model Calibration; Structural dynamics (frequency and time domain analyses); motion and wave load analysis; Fatigue and Fracture problems; ECA analysis. He received his Ph.D. in structural engineering from North Carolina State University in 2010. He also obtained a minor in Mechanical Engineering at the same university. He has been involved in design and analyses of a wide range of structures in the offshore, onshore and civil and infrastructure industry for the past 12 years. More recently, his involvement of the past three years in the offshore industry included the design, analyses and integrity management works related to the hull structures of the floating platforms (Semi-submersible and TLP) in North America and Australia as well as detail engineering analyses of the deepwater flowlines and drilling rigs in GOM and North Sea. Involvement in other major engineering projects for monitoring of bridges and offshore projects, design and analyses of suspension and floating bridges, underground tunnels, fit-for-purpose analyses of towers, California High Speed Rail, onshore petrochemical and industrial structures are among his other past experiences. He is familiar with the ISO Standards, API Codes, ASME codes, ASCE codes, ACI codes, AISC codes, AREMA codes, and AASHTO and British Standards.He has served as senior structural engineer and lead engineer in supporting the teams for their engineering, project management, proposal writing and business development activities within his past appointments.
