ABOUT ARCHIT KARANDIKAR
I work on modelling of simulated agents for AI-powered validation of Self-Driving Car software at Waymo. Before this, I was at Google Research working on AI Explainability and Reliability. Prior to that, I was at Facebook and have worked on the Stories Delivery Team and the Natural Language Understanding Team. My industrial areas of expertise are artificial intelligence, product backend development at huge scale and algorithms. My academic research interests lie in Machine Learning, Theoretical Computer Science and Discrete Math. Specifically, I have published work on Reliable Deep Learning, Approximation Algorithms for Combinatorial Optimization problems and pure Combinatorics.As a competitive programmer, I have been fortunate to represent India three times - ICPC World Finals 2013, 2014 and IOI 2010 (Bronze Medal). The performances of our teams at ICPC 2014 and IOI 2010 are amongst India\'s best performances. I was ranked India #1 and had the Grandmaster title on the Codeforces platform when I stopped competing regularly in 2014.
