I am a dual qualified international trade lawyer focused on shipping, energy and commodities sectors.I graduated from National Law School of India University, Bangalore (B.A. LLB) and have studied in Singapore, as a Temasek Scholar, on exchange to the Singapore Management University. I pursued a MSc degree at the Erasmus Center for Maritime Economics and Logistics (MEL), an inter-faculty unit [Erasmus School of Economics / Rotterdam School of Management] of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).I have previously worked at a leading law firm in Singapore and litigated in India. My experience covers the whole spectrum of shipping work including charterparty, bills of lading, bunkers, ship sale, ship repairs, trade finance, maritime insolvency, sanctions, collisions, and commodities disputes. I have also advised clients on non-contentious matters in drafting and negotiation of shipping contracts, and more recently in the sphere of trade digitalisation.My practice often has a cross-border dimension, leveraging on my education and work experience across multiple jurisdictions. I have regular involvement in arrest and other security-taking measures across jurisdictions.
