ABOUT ARCHIE D. NETTLES

Archie Dean Nettles Jr. is a U.S. Army veteran, civic leader, and strategic relationship builder with more than ten years of experience across government relations, community engagement, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership. A Beaumont, Texas native, he transitioned from military service, including a deployment to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, into a career grounded in public service and regional impact.Over time, Archie progressed from community and program-focused roles into senior intergovernmental and policy-facing positions. His work has centered on supporting legislative priorities, cultivating public-private partnerships, and advancing workforce and economic development efforts. He is focused on strengthening civic institutions and driving regional growth through trusted relationships, thoughtful strategy, and consistent execution.He has been recognized for his leadership and service with honors including the Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 and the University of Texas at Dallas Green and Orange Award. Archie has served as a Commissioner and Chair on the City of Dallas Community Development Commission and currently serves on the Board of Housing Forward.In addition to his civic and government work, Archie is the author of \"Trades to the Rescue\", a children’s book that introduces young readers to skilled trades through storytelling, teamwork, and real-world problem solving.His areas of focus include Government Affairs, Strategic Partnerships, Civic Engagement, Workforce Development, and Public Speaking.
