About Arbreya Lewis
Arbre\'ya Lewis is driven by passion and purpose in her work. She\'s guided by her pursuit of equity in health and education, to improve both individual and population health, especially for people who have historically been marginalized. Her work and interests intricately connect a broad range of industries including education, health communication, and entertainment. Arbre\'ya graduated with an undergraduate degree titled:\"Visualizing Medicine: The Role of the Media in Healthcare Communication.\" As a first generation college student, she has a natural attraction to mentorship and education as a gateway to success and independence. She served in AmeriCorps during 2018-19 through College Advising Corps as an adviser at Riverside High School. She continues to work and volunteer as a mentor and college application coach to many high school and undergraduate students through various structured organizations. In 2020, she helped to develop and implement a graduate student mentoring program called Peer 2 Peer Mentoring Program at Rollins School of Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Arbre\'ya graduated from Rollins School of Public Health in the Behavioral Science and Health Education department in May 2021. At Rollins, she served for a year as a department representative for the Rollins Student Government Association to advocate for student needs. As a graduate assistant for health promotion & communication at Emory’s Office of Health Promotion (OHP), Arbre\'ya worked to re-brand the office as a student centered space dedicated to promoting health and wellness as a necessary contributor to success in college and beyond. Arbre\'ya’s career journey led to working as a health communications specialist as a contractor with the CDC in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control. Her work in this role often intertwined entertainment education, health equity, and website development. Currently, Arbre’ya is a Human Capital consultant at Deloitte, where she works with Federal health clients to strategically address their needs through innovative services. She has contributed to requests for proposals to win multi-million-dollar contracts, and led several teams, both internal and client facing to optimize processes and encourage collaboration. Arbre\'ya is always looking to gain philanthropic experience in public relations, health communication campaign strategy & implementation, social marketing, and education - especially as it relates to minority health equity.
