Hi, I’m Aravind, currently working as an Engineer – Strategic Sourcing at Amphenol FCI, Cochin Plant.In my role, I support strategic sourcing and procurement activities across regular production, New Product Development (NPD), and global transfer projects within the electronics and connector manufacturing industry. I work closely with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams to support supplier identification, RFQs, cost analysis, price alignment, vendor development, and supplier feasibility evaluations, especially during the NPD phase.My involvement in NPD includes assisting with early-stage sourcing decisions, cost estimation, supplier capability assessment, and timeline alignment, ensuring smooth product development and successful handover to mass production. This exposure has helped me understand how sourcing directly impacts product cost, quality, manufacturability, and delivery timelines.I also have a strong interest in manufacturing processes, machining, supply chain optimization, localization strategies, and continuous improvement, and I actively look for opportunities to learn from both the shop floor and sourcing strategy perspectives.Beyond my professional role, I’m passionate about videography and video editing, where I enjoy capturing real moments and telling stories through visuals.I\'m always happy to connect with professionals in strategic sourcing, procurement, NPD, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
