ABOUT ARAVIND BALAJEE

I am a highly experienced lawyer with significant experience in advising on transactions, commercial contracts, disputes and compliance, with diverse international work-experience and exceptional academic credentials. I head the Legal & Compliance team at Lodha Ventures. I lead a diverse team of both legal and compliance professionals who work across investment and real estate businesses of the Abhinandan Lodha Group. I have previously worked as a senior in-house lawyer at two of India’s largest conglomerates – the Adani Group and the Tata Group, and advised on M&A, joint ventures, financing, insolvency, dispute resolution and compliance matters. I have also previously worked as a consultant at an international fashion e-commerce company in Singapore. As a lawyer in private practice, I have worked at top-tier international law firms in New York and Singapore, and at a pre-eminent Indian law firm in Mumbai. I have advised clients in India, South East Asia and the US, on M&A, joint ventures, commercial contracts, financing, litigation and general business and regulatory issues, across a variety of industries and sectors. I have a master’s degree in law from Harvard Law School, and a law degree (with Honors) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India\'s top law school (from where I graduated with two gold medals). I am admitted to practice law in India and New York.
