As a DGC, I provide executive leadership and strategic legal oversight for the firm\'s regulatory and professional compliance responsibilities. Trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex regulatory, legal and reputational matters affecting the firm\'s assurance and advisory businesses.I lead regulatory engagements with audit regulators, including CPAB, PCAOB and provincial CPA bodies and oversee the firm\'s response to regulatory inquiries, investigations and any enforcement proceedings. My role focuses on proactive risk mitigation, governance excellence, and ensuring policies and professional standards align with evolving regulatory expectations across Canada and globally.My practice spans key regulatory and compliance areas, including professional standards, CPA licensing and registration, rules of professional conduct, lobbying, economic sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and competition law. I work closely with cross-functional leaders in all service lines to protect the firm\'s reputation while enabling confident and compliant growth in order to build a #BetterWorkingWorld for our clients, people and communities.
