ABOUT ARASH GHODSIAN

Arash Ghodsian is Vice President of FERC, Transmission & Policy at Invenergy LLC, a role he has held since July 2022. He leads Invenergy’s engagement on market policy, generator interconnection, and transmission planning issues critical to advancing the energy transition. In this capacity, Arash is recognized for his strong leadership and communication skills, effectively aligning internal teams, developers, regulators, and grid operators to navigate complex policy and technical challenges.Prior to Invenergy, Arash served as Senior Director of Transmission & Policy at EDF Renewables, where he played a key leadership role in developing strategies to integrate renewable generation into the electric grid. He was known for translating highly technical transmission and interconnection issues into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership, policymakers, and external stakeholders.From 2014 to 2020, Arash held a leadership position at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), where he managed the Economic Planning and Generation Interconnection group across the MISO footprint. In that role, he led multidisciplinary teams, facilitated stakeholder processes, and built consensus among utilities, developers, regulators, and consumer advocates—demonstrating an ability to lead through collaboration and clear communication.Arash began his career at American Transmission Company in Wisconsin, gaining hands-on experience in grid operations and transmission planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative leadership style and an ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity and credibility.
