    The Fleet Cyber Command Office of Compliance and Assessment (FCC OCA) Future Operations Officer plays a key strategic and operational role in planning, coordinating, and preparing the execution of Navy-wide cybersecurity inspections and assessments. This position is critical to ensuring cyber readiness across the fleet and aligning with Department of Defense (DoD) directives.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Scheduling & Planning:Develops and manages long-range schedules for Cybersecurity Inspections and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA) across the U.S. Navy, ensuring alignment with mission priorities, operational availability, and evolving threats.Site Selection & Prioritization:Establishes selection criteria for determining which shore and afloat commands are assessed, using a risk-based approach aligned with DoD Cyber Defense Command Tasking Orders, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), and DoD 8500-series guidance.Inter-Service Coordination:Collaborates with Joint Forces Headquarters-DoDIN (JFHQ-DODIN), U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), and other service components to deconflict assessment schedules and support a unified defense posture.Operational Forecasting:Conducts future force projection analysis to anticipate assessment resource needs and guide strategic inspection coverage to address potential cybersecurity gaps in the Navy’s operational network.Program Oversight & Process Development:Assists in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs), assessment methodologies, and compliance processes to improve assessment effectiveness and standardization.Leadership & Briefings:Briefs senior leadership on future cyber inspection operations, readiness status, and trends. Provides recommendations to optimize the Navy’s cyber resilience strategy.
