Amirreza Naseri is a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at North Carolina State University and UNC Chapel Hill, with experience in robotic systems, control engineering, and embedded hardware. His research focuses on developing adaptive control strategies for dynamic, human-interactive wearable robots, including exoskeletons and powered prostheses.With a foundation in mechanical engineering, Amirreza has designed and fabricated novel mechanisms, most notably a patented hybrid hydraulic ankle prosthesis, and has led the development of real-time controllers for robotic knee and ankle prostheses as well as hip exoskeletons. His technical expertise spans high-frequency control implementation via EtherCAT, multi-sensor fusion from wearable devices, and machine learning–based methods for enhancing the safety of AI-driven prosthetic systems.Driven by a systems-level perspective on robotics, Amirreza integrates both model-based and data-driven approaches to enable robust, adaptive, and human-aware robotic behavior. He is passionate about creating intelligent machines that interact seamlessly with the physical world, advancing human-centered robotics.
