ABOUT ALYSSA PROVENCIO-CISZEWICZ

As a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Central Oklahoma, I bridge academic excellence with real-world impact. I currently lead the Political Science Department\'s Disaster Management Graduate Certificate program and coordinate Undergraduate Internships while serving as Director of Downtown Strategy and Community Partnerships for LX Studio, the in-house consulting branch of Academic Affairs. My disciplinary expertise is representation in public administration, with particular focus on emergency management. I bring an intersectional lens to research and teaching on underrepresented populations, consensus building, community empowerment, and organizational transparency.Throughout my career, much of it at UCO—where I\'ve served as MPA Co-Coordinator, Leadership Minor Director, Equity Advocate, and Faculty Senate President—I\'ve transformed concepts into action, such as championing diversity initiatives that reshape institutional culture and leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and large-scale coordination. My current role involves building strategic partnerships connecting UCO to Oklahoma City\'s business and civic ecosystem and facilitating innovative projects that prepare students for emerging workforce needs. My passion lies in fostering inclusive environments where diverse perspectives thrive. I excel at guiding projects from conceptualization to implementation with an unwavering commitment to equity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.*ALL THOUGHTS MY OWN*
