I was a newspaper journalist from age 12 to 27 and then a graphic designer for a decade. At OCU, I served as Staff Council president in 2018-19, re-envisioning systems to develop leaders, build community, and provide employees with professional development. I was named United Way of Central Oklahoma\'s Employee Campaign Coordinator Rookie of the Year in 2018-19 after helping raise the highest donations from OCU employees in five years. I also led internal and external communications as OCU determined its core values in spring 2019, and I served on OCU\'s strategic planning committee in 2022-23, rewriting the university\'s mission statement.
