About April Hughey

April has worked in many divisions within a top national bank from check clearing to loan servicing to funding the bank. She has worked on global projects to improve the customer experience and streamline processes. Her experience in project management, process improvements, operational efficiency and customer service gives her insight into the challenges and rewards of creative problem solving. This knowledge helps her understand the stress and demands placed on her clients and she works with her clients to find the best solution tailored to their needs. With over 35 years in the financial industry, April has navigated the changes brought by mergers, acquisitions, re-organizations and promotions. While working with Asset Backed Securitizations, April built reporting databases and designed payment re-application systems to comply with increasingly complex deal structures. Many of these projects occurred simultaneously to allow the Sales team to meet changing market demands. April has complied with SOX and RegAB annual reporting requirements to mitigate reporting and investor payment risks. She has also met with Rating Agencies and external investors to highlight the bench strength of the securitization reporting team. She also managed the yearly audits required by regulatory agencies and deal requirements. April holds an MBA and Masters in Executive Coaching from Queens University of Charlotte as well as being a certified yoga instructor.
