About April Greene
For more than 15 years, I\'ve worked to expand and protect abortion access for folks most impacted by reproductive oppression. I hold a bachelor\'s degree in women\'s studies and an M.Ed. in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Georgia, as well as the lived expertise of navigating abortion access as a young person in the south; I\'m also a nonprofit professional with 10+ years of experience in organizational leadership, program development, management, and evaluation, volunteer recruitment and management, and community engagement and outreach. Currently, I help southerners access abortion in Virginia as the executive director of the Blue Ridge Abortion Fund and am deeply invested in reimagining oppressive systems and redistributing resources so that everyone can make the reproductive decisions that are best for themselves and their families.
