In my current role, I spearhead end-to-end human resources operations for a nonprofit organization comprising over 170 employees, including employee relations, legal compliance, onboarding, benefits, training and development, as well as health and safety. I am able to sustain employee engagement and retention by carrying out in-depth investigation and seamlessly resolving general employee and EEOC complaints. To establish complete compliance with local, state, and federal laws, I conduct extensive research and educate employees. Some of my key accomplishments within this role include: Created a robust performance management structure to enable the fulfillment of the company’s culture and goals. Designed an employee-centered compensation structure to ensure equitable pay within budgetary constraints. Successfully delivered tactical training to employees and managers on policies along with composing and editing a comprehensive employee handbook. Set up the company’s HR function through examination of current practices, audit of functions, and implementation of a plan to launch the HR department. Optimized the benefits program by switching health and 401(k) brokers, introducing additional benefit offerings, conducting open enrollment, and promptly responding to employee questions.
