She was born in the northwest suburbs and has lived in Illinois most of her life, minus two years in Amsterdam. April has an undergraduate degree in International Business & Spanish from Illinois State University, a Graduate Degree in Supply Chain from Elmhurst College, and previously worked in International Trade and Compliance. Heavily involved in her community, April is a founding board member of 209 Together, a scholarship fund that benefits graduates of Proviso High Schools.
