About Apoorva Dornadula
Hi! My name is Apoorva and I\'m the Sr. Engineering Manager in Smartly.io\'s AI Product Lab. Prior to Smartly, I was a co-founder and CTO at Viralspace (which got acquired by Smartly.io). I work on building visual intelligence technology to help brand marketers. I absolutely love my job and my team! I\'m on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list :)My former co-founder and I, along with our classmates, have started an AI-focused venture fund, Dent Capital. If you\'re an early stage AI founder building an impactful product, feel free to reach out!In my free time, I love learning new skills. My latest endeavor has been to learn MLOps, Sanskrit, and rockclimbing. I also like doing jigsaw puzzles, playing badminton/tennis, and baking to satisfy my sweet tooth! I\'m a vegetarian sandwich sculptor (at least aspiring to be one)!Prior to Viralspace, I completed my Masters in Computer Science at Stanford University where I worked in the Stanford Vision Lab. My research involved learning visual relationships in images (scene graph technology). I completed my undergrad degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley.I\'d love to chat about AI in industry, MLOps, team management, and the startup journey!
