Beginning my career as a feminist researcher, I had the privilege of being part of the research team behind the ground-breaking study \"Landscape Analysis of Early and Child Marriage in India.\" This study, initiated in 2013, framed the issue of early and child marriage through a feminist lens, aiming to inform strategies for intervention at grassroots levels, capacity building, advocacy, grant-making, and monitoring and evaluation.Conducting its 10-year impact assessment was an honour, for which my role included- Assessing the study\'s reach and impact by interviewing feminist practitioners from various sectors, including national and international funding agencies, networks like Girls Not Brides, academics, consultants focused on international policy advocacy, resource groups at the national level, and grassroots organizations- Presenting preliminary findings at the national consultation marking the study\'s 10th anniversary of the Landscape Analysis, and bring voices from my interviews to the room- Produce research products and reports analyzing key articulations, approaches, and strategies that contributed to the study\'s extensive reach and impact.

ABOUT APEKSHA VORA

With over 15 years of experience as an independent feminist consultant, researcher, theatre practitioner, and writer, I\'ve collaborated with grassroots organizations across India using art and theatre based methodologies to spark dialogue within communities on issues such as gender, sexuality, caste, religion, education and violence.Over the last three years, I collaborated closely with organizations focused on women, girls, and youth, to create and enhance a repository of knowledge aimed at tackling Gender-Based Violence. This involved working alongside feminist first responders to capture and document their experiences and strategies, and facilitating conversations for them to express their expertise. My methodology is deeply grounded in interdisciplinary feminist practices, prioritizing embodied knowledge and emotional understanding.I\'m currently seeking opportunities to build feminist networks and lead transformative processes that empower marginalized voices to express their narratives and shape societal discourse. My goal is to foster holistic empowerment and facilitate meaningful change.
