ABOUT APARAJITA SINGH

With over 8 years of experience in the social sector, I am passionate about creating positive change in the lives of marginalized communities through data-driven and human-centered solutions. As a Senior Program Manager at The Udaiti Foundation, I lead and manage projects that aim to promote financial inclusion, gender equality, and digital empowerment across India and abroad. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having worked with various stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, UN agencies, and private sector partners. In my current role, I work on a project that gauges the role of government-to-person (G2P) payments on women\'s economic empowerment, gender-disaggregated data, and models for increasing women\'s labor force participation. I use my skills in strategy, data analysis, and human resources to design and implement interventions, conduct research and evaluations, and facilitate stakeholder engagement and capacity building. Previously, I have worked on improving public financial management systems in states across India, and strengthening direct benefit transfer schemes in North East India. I have also co-authored publications on the gendered impact of G2P payments and the challenges and opportunities for social protection in India.
