About Ao Zhou
While it is tempting for us to believe digitalization is merely a technical challenge, it is only partially correct. Before we dive into the world of exciting technical options, let\'s ask ourselves a question, why do we need digitalization in the first place? A very common answer is, to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Neither of these goals are technical. They are, in fact, business challenges.That being said, a digitalization initiative has to root itself deeply in the business process, which spreads way beyond a few software engineers. It involves the operations, R&D, finance, business development, managers and executives, almost everyone in the organization. What roles shall they play in the digitalization endeavor? How shall the organization be formed to guarantee its success? These, again, are not technical questions. They are organizational challenges.With the interdisciplinary background and rich experience in operations, digitalization and business management, I am the person to address these challenges. By bridging business and technology, I aim at finding solutions in process improvement and digitalization for the biotech industry. And that, will enable us to bring the cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment technologies to a broader public.
