KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• To receive the patients, both outpatients and inpatients with all relevant documents.• To verify identity and adequacy of pre-procedural preparation.• To assist in obtaining consent for procedure and patient counselling if necessary.• To perform examination and to ensure adequacy of examination in consultation with Radiologist.• To instruct on post examinations.• To maintain necessary records.• To ensure preventive maintenance of machines.• To be responsible for prevention of unnecessary wastage of consumables.• To be responsible for imparting adequate training to Radiographer trainees.• If required so be available for On Call duty.• Coordinate work and smooth daily functioning of the department by interaction with internal and external customers.• Cooperate with the co-ordination activities of the department to maintain and improve quality.
