As a dedicated Social Worker at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur, I specialize in Family and Child Welfare, with a passion for empowering children, families, and communities through mental health advocacy, counseling, and social justice initiatives. In my current role, I coordinate medical camps, kidney screening programs, and patient support services, ensuring accessible care for marginalized communities.My professional journey has allowed me to work extensively with vulnerable children, families in crisis, and individuals facing psychological and social challenges, helping them access resources and build resilience for a better future.Expertise & Areas of Work: Medical Social Work – Patient counseling, medical camp coordination, and community health interventions Child Protection & Juvenile Justice – Intervention planning for children in conflict with the law at Borstal School (juvenile detention center) Family Assessment – Evaluating family dynamics, identifying risk factors, and developing tailored intervention strategies Mental Health & Rehabilitation – Supporting children diagnosed with schizophrenia, autism, and intellectual disabilities Community Engagement & Awareness – Conducting mental health campaigns, school programsResearch & Future Goals:I have conducted research on the emotional challenges of mothers during the treatment phase of pediatric cancer patients, exploring the psychological, social, and emotional impact on caregivers.
