ABOUT ANWAR SATTAR
Anwar Sattar is a Chemical Engineer who specialises in electric vehicle and lithium ion battery recycling. He is currently leading the battery recycling activities at the Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick. Previously, he worked for European Metal Recycling as a Process Development Engineer, focusing on improving the recycling efficiency of conventional vehicles and also developed processes and strategies for recycling end of life electric and hybrid vehicles. He has also worked for Axion Consultant as a Research Engineer where he successfully developed a lithium ion battery recycling process. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering in Hydrogen and Fuel Cells from the University of Birmingham and had worked on the development and scale up of a waste to energy process for the Fraunhofer institute in Germany.
