As a PhD Candidate in the Genetics and Genomics program at Duke University, my research focuses on identifying genetic modifiers associated with Sickle Cell Disease outcomes, including specific organ complications and clinical severity. My work has been showcased through presentations at prominent conferences like ASHG and ASH, reflecting my commitment to advancing genetic research. Beyond research, I actively engage in leadership and strategic initiatives. As a Translation & Commercialization Fellow at Duke\'s Office for Translation & Commercialization, I contribute to market analysis and commercialization of life science innovations. I also lead community engagement initiatives as Director of Community Initiatives at Nucleate and Co-Chair of ComSciCon-Triangle, fostering collaboration and communication within the scientific community.
