ABOUT ANUSHKA REDDY MARRI
As a physician trained in India with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH), I am dedicated to advancing public health through research and community engagement, with a particular focus on infectious diseases such as HIV and tuberculosis. In my current role as a Research Fellow at BUSPH\'s Department of Global Health on Gates Foundation–funded projects, I apply statistical computing (R, STATA) and qualitative methods to analyze health trends and communicate findings through reports, manuscripts, and policy briefs aimed at improving access to care and health outcomes.I bring significant experience in both research and clinical environments, complemented by peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Beyond technical expertise, I have led and collaborated on multiple initiatives: serving as Editor-in-Chief of Lexicon, directing the creation of a health and wellness magazine, and taking active leadership roles in the Student Senate and International Students Organization at BUSPH. Through these roles, I honed skills in organizing large teams, fostering collaboration, and engaging communities around shared goals. My work is driven by a commitment to addressing health inequities and understanding the social determinants of health, whether in underserved rural communities or multi-city collaborative projects. I am passionate about applying data-driven approaches to public health challenges and contributing meaningfully to both local and global efforts that improve health equity.
