About Anusha Batra
I am a sociology academic, by training. For my MPhil dissertation, I worked on a UGC funded research project \'Sports for Development and Peace\', exploring the educational potential of sports, play and games to attain development objectives in areas which are outside mainstream development.As I have come to understand, the beauty of Sociology cannot be contained in mere textbooks, it rather blooms when applied for practical purposes and greater good. After being a part of the academic world, I am now a part of the startup ecosystem, and explore the potential it holds for holistic development of the youth. Besides my research training, I am a freelance writer with a penchant for creative writing and my blog, Musings, is a space where my love for Sociology and writing converges.
