About Anurag Rakde
I am a Technical Product Manager at AWS in the EC2 Org. I work on Capacity Reservation products, including defining new features, service guarantees, and the underlying frameworks that shape how these products are designed and evolve. In parallel, I also drive long-term regional strategy for highly constrained regions, where power and infrastructure limitations require deliberate, data-driven planning and demand shaping decisions. Before AWS, I worked across the semiconductor, telecommunications, and infrastructure ecosystem, with experience at Qualcomm, GlobalFoundries, Finisar, and WiSig Networks. This background has given me a strong systems-level understanding that spans hardware, software, wireless communication, and cloud platforms, and allows me to approach product and strategy problems with a broad technical perspective. I later earned my MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, which strengthened my ability to combine analytical rigor with product judgment. I enjoy working at the intersection of technology, data, and strategy, especially in roles that require navigating trade-offs, ambiguity, and long-term thinking. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and exploring different cuisines. I have a long-standing interest in dramatics and enjoy following and playing cricket. I also care deeply about access to education and have contributed to initiatives focused on skill development for underprivileged communities. I am curious by nature, ambitious in my goals, and always open to thoughtful conversations about technology, products, travel, or ideas worth building.
